Indian, Pakistani & Fusion Wedding Photography
Indian, Pakistani, and fusion wedding photography by Thirdeyestudio documents real South Asian weddings across Austin, Houston, Dallas, and beyond. Every gallery below is from an actual wedding we shot, spanning Haldi ceremonies, Mehndi art, Sangeet performances, Baraats, Pheras, Nikaahs, and receptions. Our documentary-first approach means we photograph moments as they happen — the tears during Vidaai, the chaos of a Baraat entrance, the quiet seconds before the vows — alongside the posed portraits and family formals every wedding still needs. With 15+ years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, and multicultural celebrations, we've learned that the best wedding photos come from understanding the culture, not just pointing a camera at it. Every Ceremony, Photographed the Way It Actually Happened
South Asian weddings rarely fit into a single day, and we've built our coverage around that reality. A typical wedding we photograph might include a Haldi or Pithi ceremony, where turmeric paste and laughter turn everyone's hands yellow; a Mehndi evening, with intricate henna and music that runs late; a Sangeet, where the real family talent shows up on the dance floor; the Baraat, when the groom's side arrives with drums and dancing; the Pheras or Nikaah itself, whichever tradition the couple follows; and a reception that can run anywhere from a few hundred to a thousand guests. We photograph all of it — the documentary moments and the posed ones, including the formal family portraits every set of parents wants framed. Fusion weddings, where one partner's family follows different traditions than the other's, get the same attention: we know how to keep two sets of traditions feeling equally honored in the same gallery. Based in Austin, we regularly travel for weddings in Houston, Dallas, and beyond — see our Houston and Dallas wedding photography pages for city-specific coverage.
FAQs
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book us 9–12 months out, especially for wedding season (October–March in Texas). Multi-day weddings and popular dates fill up faster.
Do you shoot multi-day weddings?
Yes — most South Asian weddings we shoot span 2–5 events across 2–3 days, and our packages are built around full-wedding coverage, not single-day shoots.
Do you travel outside Texas?
Regularly. Beyond Austin, Houston, and Dallas, we've shot weddings across the U.S. and in India — see our Wedding Films page for examples.
