Houston has one of the largest and most diverse South Asian communities in the country, and its wedding scene reflects that. We've photographed ceremonies at the Sikh Center of Houston, engagements at the Water Wall and hotel ballroom receptions, and celebrations that blend Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, and Bangladeshi traditions in a single weekend. Some couples keep it to one venue for everything — Haldi, Sangeet, ceremony, and reception. Others spread events across two or three locations over several days. Either way, we plan around your specific schedule rather than a one-size-fits-all timeline. A typical Houston wedding we shoot spans the same arc as anywhere else — Haldi, Mehndi, Sangeet, Baraat, the ceremony itself (Pheras, Nikaah, or Anand Karaj depending on the couple's tradition), and reception — but the venues and vendor teams are entirely Houston's own. We work alongside Houston-based planners, caterers, and decorators rather than importing an Austin team wholesale, which keeps logistics simple and costs predictable. Traveling from Austin to Houston adds no complexity to how we work — we arrive the day before for multi-day weddings, scout the venue in advance when possible, and treat every Houston wedding with the same attention as one at home.
