Austin Venues & the South Asian Wedding Scene

Austin has a fast-growing South Asian community, and its wedding scene spans everything from a Hindu Temple, Hill Country estates, downtown hotel ballrooms to backyard celebrations with a hundred close family and friends. We've built our documentary style around the pace of a South Asian wedding — Haldi at sunrise, a Sangeet that runs past midnight, a Baraat winding through the venue, and a ceremony that might be Hindu Pheras, a Nikaah, a Sikh Anand Karaj, or two families' traditions blended into one weekend. Some Austin couples keep every event at a single venue; others split Haldi, Mehndi, and Sangeet across separate days, sometimes with portraits at spots like the Texas Capitol or out in the Hill Country. Either way, we build the timeline around your family's actual schedule rather than a template. Austin is home base for us, not a travel market — we know the local venues, the vendor teams, and the rhythm of a Central Texas wedding weekend, and we bring the same attention to a Tuesday-night Sangeet as we do to a Saturday reception for four hundred.

In client's own words

“I will be honest I have seen Thirdeyestudio’s work and wanted them for my daughter’s Wedding. A team of very talented people. Polite, professional and punctual, understanding the sentimental value of these cultural events and the significance of the rituals. PV is not your take 5000 photograph guy but his 100 pictures are worth more than that. Love how he captured the essence of the whole event.”
